Many of the homeless in our community are being moved continuously to different places to spend a night or two until a longer term housing situation can be arranged. Being able to fix more than a microwaved frozen entrée or cup of ramen can be impossible. Our church is opening up our kitchen and dining area for some of these families so they can make a favorite hot meal for themselves to enjoy together. We organize these evenings for home cooking in collaboration with other local entities addressing the needs of the homeless in our community.
